Bird's Eye View for You?

I've been reading books on kids with autism. I learned so many so many things from the first book alone. Perspective. Perspective. Perspective. There are just so many different ways to view things, to view people, to view the actions of people. During cellgroup I realized, sometimes I'm so cooped up in my own circumstances I so so so fail to step back and see the big picture. It's funny and embarassing like those scenes you see on movies where a woman struggle in water as if she was drowning, only to realize the water is only waist-high. Yup. haha. I function with pictures. =P Especially when Anna spoke that word into my life, my eyes seemed to open. Peace of God, that's what I have and what I need, I just have to know that I DO have it. =)
I realize many people are vulnerable to self-pity and self-denial. Come to think of it, our situations are only so small. Take on a larger vision, a larger perspective. Solutions will come our way. Or may the solution is actually already in us, just gotta "activate" it. How do you solve a maze in the easiest way? Take on a position where you can see the ENTIRE maze and the destination yea. When Doraemon looks for Da-Xiong, he also takes on bird's-eye view with his "zu-qing-ting"(the propellor on the head), (haha. ok i'm watching Doraemon NOW!! =P)
Above it all, everyone knows the power of perspective "de la" (aborigines, according to Sheryl). An even more empowering view that can propel one forward is knowing God's purpose in your life. The question of why me, why like that, WHY MEE!! will then have their answers. Every phase is a threshing ground. Bang bang Smash Smash and VIOLA! nice whole grain that can be consumed is made.
Read this poem in the latest Harvest Times:

One Day at a Time
I never knew where this day leads
I cannot see its crooks and turn.
I never really know my needs
but every day I seem to learn.
I know not life's torrents rage,
I only wander down its path.
The Architect has set the stage
Often He lines the way with wrath.
I cannot see across the hill
I simply climb each craggy peak.
Sometimes the sea is calm and still
'tis then I hear the Master speak.
He leads me through each stormy day
just when I think all hope is gone.
When skies are dark I hear Him say
"press on my child, you're not alone."
I know not what this day may hold
nor if the path be steep to climb,
My faith in God will keep me bold
To face this life, one day at a time.
