Self-esteem

Self-esteem [self-i-steem, self-]
noun
1. a realistic respect for or favorable impression of oneself: self-respect.
2. an inordinately or exaggeratedly favorable impression of oneself.

It has been quite a while since i last came back to this words and last remembered how the gospel firmly assures one of his position and how it rebuilt my self-image in 2005/6. It is just a mere simple basic fact of the story of how Jesus died for us on the cross.

If you were nothing, why would anyone die for you?
If you meant nothing, who would care if you enter into the gates of heaven?
If you meant nothing, why do you have an angel watching over you since birth?
If you meant nothing, who would bother planning out your life even before you appeared?

“ What is man that You are mindful of him,
Or the son of man that You take care of him?
You have made him a little lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
And set him over the works of Your hands.
You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”

Such privilege i cannot overlook. and it is not any less important than the truth of salvation. Indeed, nothing i do can make Him love me more, nothing i do can make Him love me less. It's not narcissism of any sort, but it is a fact, and it has been tested, through fire and through time.

I am very very stirred up by the strong emotion he had when he said, "HOW CAN I NOT TELL THE WORLD THIS GOOD NEWS. NOW THAT I KNOW AND RECEIVE THIS REVELATION, HOW CAN I NOT TELL THE WORLD??!!"

"I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise. So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also."

haha. where else can you find a debt that doesn't make you stressed and depressed, but make you excited and happy(okay, maybe mixed with a bit of anxiety). Man..........where else. haha.

He loves me
He loves you
He cares
Period.
