The One

when i came home last night, my sis came to me and asked about the church, for the very first time.

sis: eh girl ah, is it true that chc works in such a way that they..... make you happy?
me: ??? happy??
sis: like my colleague say they will throw money in the air and let you all catch.

haha. i was on one hand awfully shocked and on the other hand laughing at how ridiculous that statement is (from a working adults somemore!).

seriously i wonder where does all this words come from. this is a decent church, not one that HAS to throw incentives to attract people in. City Harvesters are NOT attracted to the church building, NOT attracted to the popularity of the church (well maybe at the beginning la =P), but ultimately, it's the open heaven above the church, the tangibility of God's love and presence in the place and the level that God works through the church.

He redeemed us all from sins
He changed every single one of our hearts and lives
He gave us our purpose in life
He gave us huge dreams
He instilled in us knowledge we need to be in the world but not of the world
He used us all to shine in the marketplace


and you think numbers and fame is all that we think and DREAM about.
